The Booming Party
“ KABOOM! ” the car door slammed shut. Everyone was racing around the house as if a bomb was about to go off. It was the 24th of October and it was my little cousin's birthday. My family and I really wanted to celebrate her birthday with everyone else so we all tried to get settled as fast as we could. Her birthday was being celebrated at the local park while it was a hot and sunny bright day.
Firstly we all snatched our stuff and threw it all in the car. Once we finally got everything in the car we were ready to go. My mother thought we might have forgotten something but we were almost late so we had to leave it behind. The car felt as if we were riding a cheetah, we were going so fast that I couldn’t even take a sip of my Fanta. I was holding the birthday gift while my brother was almost falling asleep! I thought that it wasn’t fair. I had to hold a large present while my brother could go snoring back to sleep.
Next we were not so far from the park. I could just feel the vibrations of the music in my legs. Once I felt the music I knew that we were at the right park, I could see tons of children waking by and even dancing. The birthday gift almost fell right out of my hand as I was messing around. We pulled up to the park and saw everyone coming to greet us. I quickly got out of the car and went running to see the birthday girl, she was wearing a pink poofy dress almost like she was wearing cotton candy!
Then I went running towards the swings. I saw my brother looking like a zombie finally getting out of the car. I could see all the boys trying to get him out to play with them. He got out of the car and the boys were on him like hyenas! I even fell to the ground laughing, my parents looked at me and told me to go eat before everyone eats everything. I took out my hand and scooped a whole pile of candy right into it. Obviously I also had some real food like sausages and hot chips! Did you really think I would go to a birthday party just for the candy?
Finally it was the end of the day and we were finally ready to go home. It was about 6pm and I was falling into deep sleep. I took some candy for the ride home and my mother took some extra food for the next day. After cleaning up the mess the little kids made we all got into our vehicles and started waving goodbye. We were finally on our way home I thought. It was such a fun day and I would really love to go to another birthday party with booming music!
